Overview of Temporary Uplinking
Temporary Uplinking
- Temporary Uplinking allows non news TV channels broadcast live. It is issued for a limited time only from the time you start the broadcast until you end the broadcast.
- If you’re running a TV channel, you most often telecast pre-recorded content and deliver them to the people. What if one day, you get the opportunity to live telecast a lucrative award show?
- Non-news TV channels such as yours aren’t allowed to live telecast your programs unless you have temporary Uplinking. Issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, temporary Uplinking, as the name suggests, gives you a temporary right to uplink your TV channel and broadcast your even live.
- It’s not just for the Non-news TV channels. Event organizers who wish to live telecast their events also need to obtain the rights to temporary uplink.
- To obtain the rights to temporary uplink is a difficult process. Often times, applicants find themselves at a disadvantage because they are not able to fulfil the Ministry requirements.
