Overview of Demonstration License

The wireless scheme and coordination wing of the Department of Telecommunications gives those who own a performance license or performance certificate to those who own wireless or radio-frequency-base products.

This license is good only for a short time and cannot be made for a long time. This license is only to show how telecom products that use spectrum work.

This type of products are shown to sell new adoption spectrum-base band products in the telecom industry.

Most of the time, the performance license is offer by regional offices in all major cities of the country. Dealer occupation license holders are only those who can obtain a performance license.

Eligibility criteria for Demonstration License in India

  1. The license is given for all spectrum bands, including new, unallocat, unassign, unsold, and unuse bands, as well as others that may be possible, giving Indian businesses access to international markets.
  2. The Department of Transportation (DoT) gives out two kinds of demonstration licenses: indoor and outdoor.
  3. Only companies in India can apply for license registration (both kinds).
  4. The indoor license lets you show off finish products, such as spectrum-free or low-power-radiating telecom products.
  5. The outdoor license lets you show off finish products, including telecom products that use the spectrum to send out signals.
  • A separate demonstration license isn’t need if the applicant has any of the following telecom licenses:
  1. License for Trying Out New Technology and Experiments
  2. License for Production and Testing
  3. Any license Indian trader with a valid Dealer Possession License

Documents required to obtain an Demonstration License

  1. The company’s Certificate of Incorporation
  2. An official copy of the applicant company’s Memorandum of Association (MOA).
  3. An official copy of the company’s Articles of Association (AOA).
  4. A copy of the company’s Dealer Possession License. Technical information about the equipment being use in the demonstration.
  5. Give a short explanation of the activity or activities that will be at the demonstration site.
  6. Set up 2 diagram for the product.
  7. Write up the application for registering the license.
  8. Send in the online application and the documents that are need.
  9. Put the application in the mail.
  10. Download the letter that the DoT sent out with its decision.
  • The applicant will then get the license he or she needs if he or she brings in the following documents:
  1. paying the license fee and royalties (if any).
  2. A copy of the letter from AIP/decision
  3. A copy of the equipment’s invoice or other details about the equipment use in the demo.
